Abstract
Researches related to application of cognitive psychology in the field of computers and multimedia are particularly important for librarians. Short overview of some basic results and rules for multimedia message formatting in accordance with cognitive learning processes are presented in the article. In the second part the focus is on new technological possibilities and methods of multimedia application in libraries. The examples from practice and links to the pages on which implementation of some new services and multimedia content can be seen are presented at the end of article.
