Abstract

What we call culture is in fact a long process of selection and screening, actually what remains when everything is forgotten. The question is whether what we have lost is better than what has been saved. How to make a choice for future generations? And who is going to do that? Digital technological progress raise the question of the relationship of humanity to its own past, primarily to these corps values of historical achievements that humanity belongs to the cultural heritage. Idea of cultural heritage as a conte prary cultural production is presented in text. There is also given the historical, etymological, theoretical, philosophical and ideological context of relations between the concepts of heritage and inheritance in discourse of contemporary terminological definitions.
