Abstract

This paper is about Slovenian National Library‘s care for its written cultural heritage, Slovenian national identity, Slovenian culture or the cultures in Slovenia and relationship between the state and custodians of written cultural heritage. The author is occupied with researching of library heritage position and possibilities which cyber space offers. Important step in current written cultural heritage was when Digital Library of Slovenia was founded in 2005.
