Abstract
Bibliographic and citation database enable insight into quantitative indicators of productivity of scientists and researchers. Bibliographic databases cover mostly articles that are considered as the final product of scientific work. Besides bibliographic data on indexed articles, citation databases enable users to see how many times the article author has been cited by other authors. Some of the most relevant databases are presented in this paper. Criteria that have to be meet for journal inclusion in these databases, as well as evaluation and selection processes for indexing are given in the paper.
