Abstract

This paper gives oversight of the activities of the Central National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” from its beginning from the 19 th century founded as public library until the Virtual Library construction of Montenegro. Development and becoming respectable cultural institution on state level has been given through its background, buildings, funds, organization, functions, central role, education, publishing, human resources and projects of this Library.
