Abstract

Although there were readings rooms and library services at several places in Zenica earlier, the city library was founded in 1954. The Public Library in Zenica celebrates the day of its foundation as the Day of the Library. Over past decades, in spite of inappropriate space and bad financial situation, but owing to professional and motivated employees, their teamwork and good organization of work, the Library has become recognizable informational, educational, cultural, artistic and social center of town.
