Abstract

Mayo Clinic Libraries is a system of 18 medical libraries located in four American states that supports Mayo Clinic physicians, researchers, nurses, educators, students, and other employees in their everyday efforts to improve their knowledge and to serve the patients’ needs in the best possible way. As one of the largest medical libraries in the North America, Mayo Clinic Libraries provide easy access to both traditional and digital resources covering the entirety of clinical medicine, biomedical research and health administration. The library intranet website makes the library resources available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all Mayo employees and students, regardless of their geographic location. Library staff members provide a variety of services to their patrons and are continuously embracing modern technologies to meet challenges and opportunities of the future.
